The Update-1 podcast gives the National Press Club the chance to feature different aspects of the journalism industry that might otherwise fly under the radar. Whether it be an author who has just written a book, or journalists who have been recognized for the work they do, one of the goals with the Update-1 podcast is to feature the latest journalism developments.
So it is with the Aerospace Media Awards, which were held on June 15 at the Aero-Club de France. The event highlighted excellence in journalism across the industry. It attracted approximately 200 attendees to celebrate the winners of 22 categories from best new journalist to three lifetime achievement winners.
In this edition of Update-1, NPC Broadcast/Podcast Team Co-chair Adam Konowe interviews event organizer Peter Bradfield on the sidelines of the biennial Paris Air Show at Le Bourget Airport. They discuss the journalists who were honored, corporate sponsors and the Defense Media Awards that will be held this fall in Washington, D.C.
